Teacher, essayist, journalist and photographer, Luis Maio is the auteur and main guide of Lisbon Art & Soul 

About us

Born and raised in Lisbon, Luís Maio is in love with the city as long as he can remember. He studied Philosophy and Mathematical Logic, before he became a teacher, an essayist, a journalist and a photographer, specialized in culture and travel. Actuallly he is a freelance journalist mainly for the portuguese Vogue and UP, the TAP inflight magazine.

Luís is also the founder of Lisbon Art & Soul, a company designed to explore the sights, the vibes and the special colors of the city. Walking is the best way to discover and discuss art and architecture, standards of living or politics of urban renewal in the portuguese capital. Some doors will open, some secrets will be revealed, but the main aim is to make you fell the genius and the true spirit of one of the more dazzling cities in Europe.
